In the book Wonder by R.J. Palacio Auggie has to overcome the challenges that come with having a facial deformity but he eventually finds good friends. I think that is Auggie is special and different or a "Wonder".
Throughout the story Auggie has to make some difficult decisions like when his mom wants him to go to school. For example at first Auggie said "Every one will stare at me at school!" but all it took was a little push and some convincing before he realized that school isn't as bad as it seems . For example
