In the book Wonder by R.J. Palacio Auggie has to overcome the challenges that come with having a facial deformity but he eventually finds good friends. I think that is Auggie is special and different or a "Wonder".
Throughout the story Auggie has to make some difficult decisions like when his mom wants him to go to school.
