The surprise

It was a bright and early morning in Chicago. The streets were busy and the smell of cupcakes filled the air. It was the CUPCAKE STATION!! The Cupcake Station is a favorite of my mom and mine." Mom can I get a party time cupcakeYes"my mom said but before she could finish I was already inside. Mmmm I said as I took a big bite out of the cupcake. It reminded me of the time my mom and I were walking in downtown Birmingham, and I had a taste for something sweet, and we stopped at the Cupcake station."Mom can we go in yes". I decided to try the party time cupcake. It was sooo good and ever since, that  became our new cupcake place.

Out of nowhere my mom was sweating like crazy. "Come on Jordyn "my mom said pulling me fowarard. I was wondering why she was rushing? Something was up and I was going to find out. We were running down all the streets making a fool of our selfs. What's going on? I said to myself. I saw in my moms eyes that she wanted to tell me but she didn't. Ahead of me I could see a brick building with a red banner that kind of looked like it said AMERICAN GIRL. As we walked closer my mom walked faster and I got nervous. It was AMERICAN GIRL! I was suddenly filled with happiness. Ring ring ring my moms  phone rang. Hello yes where there said my mom. I thought she was talking to my dad but it was really someone else I thought. I walked into the door and suddenly I heard screaming. But it was just the other girls exited to be there.

Wow I thought, this is going to be the best day ever! The whole point in going to the AMERICAN GIRL STORE was to get a doll but I knew my mom wouldn't do that. We went up the escalator and then I kind of saw someone that looked like my best friend Lia. It was her! Ahhh I screamed in excitement.

I ran over to her and gave her the biggest hug. "How did you get here?" I asked. We'll your mom and my mom said they can't tell us. Ok I'm just glad you can be here with me. We sat down at a table to eat with our dolls then an employee put a crown on my head and soon everybody was crowding around the table and singing happy birthday to me. I wondered if I was going to get a cake. I waited and waited for a cake halfway through the song and finally a small cake shaped like a present popped up right in front of my face. MAKE A WISH everyone said to me. I closed my eyes and blew out the candles. I have the best wish ever I said out loud but to myself I knew there was nothing more I could ask for.

I worked on my performance piece and wrote some of my story
